Featuring Lexington, Mississippi’s own Twurt Chamberlain with his band. The evening will begin with Sherry Hill singing Lift Every Voice. Come groove to Chamberlain’s wide repertoire of blues to hip-hop. There will be food for purchase, a cash/credit bar, bring your own chair and celebrate with us, where the culture at! RSVP!
Twurt Chamberlain - Twurt is a spirited musician from Lexington, Mississippi. He is a soulful vocalist and guitarist whose music is a fusion of blues, rock, and hip-hop. Twurt’s revolutionary sound is matched by his uplifting and positive lyrics. He is an unconventional artist with rockstar energy. Twurt has made it his mission to spread light and positivity through music from the Mississippi Delta to the rest of the world.
Sherry Hill - Sherry has been fascinated with music for as long as she can remember. Although the piano was her first love, she is grateful for her masterful voice. "Of all the gifts God had to give, He gave me the best," she says. When Sherry was 15 years old, she sang at the 100 Men Hall accompanied by a band. Sherry sings with the acclaimed St. Rose Gospel Choir. She has sung the National Anthem in the boxing ring at a match hosted by Casino Magic (now Hollywood), also at the Ground Zero Museum (formerly Waveland Elementary), and at other functions. She sang the Negro National Anthem (Lift Every Voice And Sing!) on the Tin Shed porch on June 20, 2025 and the National Anthem for One Mississippi on September 28, 2025.
