A proud native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast\, Congressman Ezell is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi\, the Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Academy\, and the FBI National Academy. In Congress\, he serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee\, where he is the Chairman of the Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Subcommittee and a member of the Economic Development\, Public Buildings\, and Emergency Management subcommittee. He also serves on the House Natural Resources Committee\, where he is the Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee on Water\, Wildlife and Fisheries and a member of the Energy and Mineral Resources Subcommittee. Before being elected to represent the people of South Mississippi in Washington\, Congressman Ezell was a career law enforcement officer for more than forty years\, most recently serving as Sheriff of Jackson County.
